Giving Back

As a lifelong Point Dume resident, Brian was looking for more ways to give back to the community. The Point Dume Nature Preserve is one of the most beautiful destinations along the California Coast and has close to 1,000,000 visitors yearly. 

While Brian was fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful area, he also saw the neglect and damage to the preserve from the crowds. Brian felt the need to act, so he rallied the community to help out. 

Partnering with State Parks, The Malibu Foundation, and like-minded neighbors, the group was able to help maintain the Point Dume Nature Preserve by making the pathways safer, clearing invasive plants and picking up debris. There is nothing like giving back to a place that has shaped you and doing it with the people you love makes it all the more special.

Judy and Veronika have been integral members of the Malibu Board of Realtors Health & Wellness committee for the last 3 years since the group's inception. Realtors deal with a lot of stress helping their client’s navigate the emotional roller coaster of buying & selling property all while navigating their own lives. At times it is hard to have a healthy work life balance. The Health & Wellness week is all about unwinding & connecting with each other. The events hosted by the committee include sound baths, hiking, nutrition talks, fitness classes, and various guest speakers.

Judy makes time to give back to the community by volunteering. She was a docent for 10+ years at the world-renowned Adamson House in Malibu and held a seat on its board for several years. 

Judy helped spearhead the kids program for underserved school programs in LAUSD, and helped fun transportation costs.
